BHA to hold inter-district hockey tournaments

QUETTA: Balochistan Hockey Association (BHA) would hold inter-district hockey tournaments to promote the game in the province.

BHA president Nawabzadah Mir Haroon Raisani here Thursday vowed that the Association is determined to promote hockey among the youth of the province as only sports could keep them away from drugs and other social crime.

He, however, regretted lack of patronage to the hockey by the provincial government and said the Association organizes provincial level hockey events on self-help basis with the sole objective to promote this national game in every corner of the province.

He said tournaments would also help bring national level hockey player from the province.

He urged the provincial government for extending due support to the Association in its effort to promote sports in the province. (APP)
