Dialogue on Education Challenges on Nov 21

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Coalition of Education (PCE) will conduct an interactive dialogue on "The Education Challenges, Sector Wide Approach and International Donors" with donors on November 21 (Monday).

PCE is undertaking a national study to assess the preparedness of education departments in delivering the right to education as per the Article 25A.

The study is part of a regional initiative and similar exercises are underway in Nepal and Sri Lanka.

The focus of this study is on the importance and efficacy of sector wide approach to planning and delivering quality education to all.

The provincial governments are responsible for coping with huge challenge of delivering education to all children of five to sixteen years of age. The PCE study seeks to collect citizens' first hand perception on this challenge.

Following the same perspective, PCE has conducted a series of school based and regional consultations in Lahore, Hyderabad and Peshawer recently with a variety of stakeholder including parents, teachers, public representative, education, providers and policy makers. (APP)
