PESHAWAR: Defending arrest of Awami National Party leader Mian Iftikhar Hussain as a suspect in a murder case, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak said Sunday that his government has nothing to do with arrest or the registration of the case.
He however added: "Our sympathies are with the heirs of martyr of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf as they have right to knock the door of justice”
The CM said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has no link with the arrest of ANP leader and the case registered against him.
The arrest of Mian Iftikhar Hussain on charges of murder drew strong criticism from political parties across the country.
