GENEVA:US Secretary of State John Kerry broke his leg in a cycling accident in France on Sunday, his spokesman said, adding that he was in "stable condition" and will return to the United States for treatment.
Kerry broke his right femur in the accident in Scionzier near Chamonix in the French Alps, and has had to cancel a trip to Spain, spokesman John Kirby said.
"The secretary is stable and never lost consciousness, his injury is not life-threatening, and he is expected to make a full recovery."
