HYDERABAD: Sindh Culture Minister Sassui Palijo has announced Rs.0.5 million for the construction of main office of Sindhi Adabi Sangat and Rs.0.1 million, for writers who written best books on nine different subjects of Sindhi literature and received Sangat Award.

She was addressing Sangat Award Distribution Ceremony as Chief Guest organized by Sindhi Adabi Sangat at Sindhi Langague Authority
(SLA).

She said that despite having tight budgetary position, her department
gave financial assistance to the flood / rain affected artists, people related to culture and literature would also be given such help in future, she said.

She said that government would continue to help promote Sindhi culture.

Culture Minister asked Adabi Sangat, Sindhi Language Authority and
other organizations to play their role in organizing Sindhi Conference in Karachi for that every thing would be given by her department and added that it was a high time to take ownership of Karachi.

She asked the management of Sindhi Adabi Sangat for encouraging male and female writers and if they have reservations on distribution of awards, remove them by dialogues.

She informed that on the Later Ishtiaque Ansari, Naseer Memon, Kazi Manzar Hayat, Yousif Sindhi, Saeed Memon, Altaf Shaikh and Liaquat Rizvi were given award of best writers. (APP)
