PESHAWAR: Forensic Science Agency (FSA) has decided to set up a state-of-the-art forensic science laboratory in Peshawar to provide an effective investigation and prosecution facility to the district police for elimination of crimes from the society.
A high-level meeting in this connection was held at KPK Home Secretary office, the other day, chaired by KPK Home Secretary. Those who attended the meeting included, Project Director FSA Islamabad, Additional Home Secretary (Development) and other officials.
Project Director, FSA while briefing the participants said, like other parts of the country the Agency will setup a forensic science laboratory in Peshawar to boost the capacity of the police in investigation and prosecution fields. He informed that land has been acquired for the purpose and construction of laboratory will be completed in 2013.
The Home Secretary directed the FSA that the laboratory must be set up on modern lines and assured all out support to the Agency in this regard. (APP)
