BHAWALPUR: Polling is underway in the Punjab Assembly’s constituency Bhawalpur-9 Yazman PP-275, which would continue without break until 5:00 P.M., Geo News reported.
Meanwhile, two groups clashed resulting in injuries to three persons at a polling station Chak 108 D.B.
Overall 115 polling stations and 360 polling booths have been set up, while 68 of them have been declared highly sensitive.
Rangers have also been called for maintaining law and order.
This provincial assembly seat had fallen vacant after the death of Pakistan Muslim League-N’s MPA Chaudhry Mumtaz Ahmad Jajja due to Dengue fever.
Twelve candidates are participating in the by-poll, however the real contest is between PML-N candidate Chaudhry Khalid Mahmood Jajja and PML-Q’s Ehsanul Huque Chaudhry
