Gold hockey tournament: PIA, NBP, Army qualify for semi-finals

FAISALABAD: PIA, NBP and Army qualified for the semi-final round in the NBP Gold Cup Hockey Tournament at the Faisalabad hockey stadium.

On Sunday, Wapda and PIA won matches while NBP and Customs played a 1-1 draw.

WAPDA slammed Railway by 6-0 and PIA beat PQA by 4-2.

From WAPDA, Shahbaz struck 3 goals and played an important role in the victory of the team while Daud, Attique and Usman shared one goal each.

From PIA, Ihsanullah hit three goals and Muhammad Zubair one. Arzalan Khan of Port Qasim Authority scored 2 goals.

Yasir Shabir of NBP and Mohsan Sabir of Customs struck one each.

Monday (November 28) will be a rest day. On Tuesday, two matches will be
played; HEC vs Army and WAPDA vs Customs.

Semi-finals will be played on November 30, said Sports Advisor Ghulam Muhammad. (APP)
