HCCI, Police establish close liasion for law and order
HYDERABAD: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Asad Raza Shah has announced that the Police and Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) would form a liaison committee comprising representatives of the 2 sides.

At a meeting with the business community representatives here on Sunday at HCCI's office the SSP underscored the need of cooperation from their cooperation to effectively maintain law and order in the city.

Shah assured that the police would create a people friendly image through their services.

He apprised that the police personnel providing security to VIPs had been withdrawn to meet the shortage of police in the city.

President HCCI Seth Goharullah appreciated the steps taken by the police, specially the setting up of a cell which would receive complaints about extortion, narcotics and land mafia.

He also welcomed the launch of quick response force by the new SSP. Chairman of HCCI's committee on law and order Hamid Mehmood Nasir briefed the police official about the specific problems being faced by the businessmen.

Nasir demanded additional deployment in trade and industrial areas and eradication of street crimes and narcotics peddling.

"Another pressing problem for our community is the traffic hazard which needs very immediate attention because in addition to clogging the movement of vehicles it also causes accidents," he underscored.

Vice President of HCCI Turab Ali Khwaja, members Maqsood Ahmed Khan, Khalid Umer Malik and others also spoke about different problems regarding law and order, and sought the police help for their solution. (APP)
