During a meeting with Nafisa Sadiq who is the special envoy for the UN Secretary General, the prime minister nominated Edhi for his outstanding efforts for peace.
Edhi is a social worker and philanthropist and his foundation operates the largest ambulance service in the world.
He has received the Lenin Peace Price and the Balzan Prize for his efforts.
