RAWALPINDI: Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab, Raja Muhammad Ashfaq Sarwar held an open kutchery along with Commissioner Rawalpindi, Zahid Saeed in Potohar Town Hall (old Zila Council Hall) Rawalpindi on the directives of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif to redress the public complaints on the spot.

RPO Capt.(R) Muhammad Zubair, DCO Saqib Zafar, CPO Azhar Hameed Khokhar, MNA Malik Ibrar, MPAs Malik Ghulam Raza, Malik Iftikhar Ahmed, President PML (N) Metropolitan Sardar Naseem, Ch. Umer Farooq, Hafiz Usamn Abbasi and officers of all departments of City District Government Rawalpindi were also present in the Open Kutchery.

General Secretary, Akhbar Farosh Union Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi pointed out that the case of establishment of Akhbar Market was in the process and asked the fate of that case.

On the occasion, Commissioner Rawalpindi informed that the case for three kanals of land situated opposite Press Club adjacent to RDA had been finalized and a complete report had been sent to the Board of Revenue Punjab Lahore for approval.

When the approval will be received this land would be given to Akhbar Farosh Union for the establishment of Akhbar Market there.

Raja Ashfaq Sarwar on the occasion said that he would cooperate in this regard for getting the approval from the Board of Revenue Punjab to solve the problem of Akhbar Farosh union as early as possible.

On the application of a lady in which she stated that Westridge police conducted unjustified raid on her house and disgraced the women folk and took away gold ornaments and cash from the house. Raja Ashfaq Sarwar on the occasion gave directions to RPO that he should summon the complainant and after inquiry the matter should be redressed at the earliest.

Another lady informed the Advisor that despite the court's stay order on her house the Waris Khan police came to her house and tried to vacate it with use of power and disgraced the ladies and children.

On this, Raja Ashfaq Sarwar directed CPO and DCO to inquire the issue.

Shahid Malik pointed out that there was no hospital available in the cantonment area to extend health facilities to the dwellers of the cantonment.

On this, Raja Ashfaq Sarwar assured that the case would be taken up to the Commissioner Rawalpindi and would be sent to the Chief Minister for approval and serious efforts would be made for the establishment of a hospital in Cantonment area. (APP)
