ISLAMABAD: Former Ambassador to the US Husain Haqqani said Saturday that Mansoor Ijaz levels new allegations daily and that no one from the Pakistani leadership had prior knowledge of the US operation in Abbottabad, Geo News reported.
“Ijaz might say tomorrow that President Zardari and Husain Haqqani were responsible for World War II” Haqqani said.
The former ambassador added that by making such baseless claims that the president and he had prior knowledge of the Abbottabad operation, Ijaz had shown what his true agenda was.
Speaking on Geo News’ program ‘Lekin” Haqqani said only Parliament and the Supreme Court had the right to decide his fate.
The former ambassador added that Mansoor Ijaz was trying to destabilise Pakistan and was behind the memogate conspiracy.
