LAHORE: Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) is facing a new crisis as eight players on Thursday announced revolt by deciding to play World Series Hockey in India.
Former captain Zeeshan Ashraf and Adnan Maqsood have left for India to play the World Series Hockey while former captain Rehan Butt, Shakeel Abbasi and Waseem Ahmed also joined the league.
Zeeshan Ashraf said that hockey is our bread and butter so we are going to India as players and not as thieves.
He blamed that the PHF not allows him to play domestic hockey nor it includes him in the team.
He said he did not get any job nor money after winning the Asian Games.
On the other hand, Adnan Maqsood adopted instance that he had signed a contract for playing the World Series Hockey some nine months ago.
He said that if he is not allowed to play in the country then he would play hockey abroad.
Meanwhile, the Federation said that the players revolting against the PHF would face life ban.
