PESHAWAR: The Jamat-e-Islami has called on the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to convene an all parties’ conference (APC) over local bodies election that drew widespread allegations of rigging.
Prof Ibrahim, the provincial amir of the JI, demanded of Chief Minister Pervez Khattak to take immediate measures to address the grievances of political parties.
He said complaints of all the political parties should be listened to during the APC.
The JI leader also called for an immediate meeting of Chief Election Commissioner and four provincial members over the issue.
The JI, which is the ally of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in the KP government, has demanded 'fundamental decisions' following a thorough review of the election.
