PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Wednesday issued notices to Vice Chancellor and administration of Islamia College University for explanation in appointments case.
A two-member bench comprising Chief Justice Dost Muhammad Khan and Justice Waqar Ahmad Seth after hearing arguments from petitioner's lawyer Nazir Ahamd Advocate those illegal appointments were made in Islamia College University.
He argued that Muhammad Naeem and Javed Iqbal were appointed at syndicate seats while Muhammad Javed and Said Ahmad were on deputation. He also termed the appointment of Shazia as unjustified.
Dr Zahir Shah and others in their writ petition had contended that appointments were made from teachers' cadre, which was illegal. (APP)
