According to the MET office, the intensity and impact of the cyclone will be determined in the next 24 hours.
Meanwhile, under Section 144 people have been prohibited from visiting beaches in Karachi.
On Thursday a cyclone alert had been issued by the MET office after the development of a low pressure system was spotted in the Arabian Sea.
