PESHAWAR: After remaining closed for six hours, the Peshawar-Islamabad motorway has reopened for traffic, Geo News reported. The motorway M-1 from Peshawar to Rakshai was closed due to heavy haze.
Fog has disrupted life in many areas of Peshawar and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and commuters are facing problems while traveling on the motorway. Heavy fog covered the motorway from Peshawar to Rakshai, causing closure for heavy traffic.
According to motorway police, heaving vehicles coming from Islamabad to Peshawar were diverted to GT Road from Rakshai interchange.
The motorway was opened at 7 am Tuesday after the visibility increased.
