FAISALABAD: A portion of the building of Millat Grammar School Millat Town Faisalabad has been demolished in the light of inquiry report conducted after Kallar Kahar accident.
About 34 persons including 29 children of Millat Grammar School were killed and dozens sustained injuries when their tour bus overturned on Motorway near Kallar Kahar on September 26, 2011.
The Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif formed an Inspection Team and directed it complete inquiry report about this incident.
The Inspection Team disclosed that former officers of education department illegally granted registration to Millat Grammar School even thought it has old and outdated building which is an illegal structure to run school according to the Buildings rules and regulation.
Hence in the light of inquiry report not only case was registered against former officers of Education Department Mian Abdur Rauf and Riaz Husain Shad etc. but a portion of the Building of Millat Grammar School was also demolished.
The remaining portion of the building will also be demolished at anytime today, a sourced of the district government told.
It is worth mentioning here that classes of Millat Grammar School were already shifted to another rented building in Millat Town about three days back. (APP)
