MULTAN: Former Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader and now Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) member Makhdoom Javed Hashmi has landed in Karachi Saturday, Geo News reported. PTI chief Imran Khan also reached the airport to receive Hashmi.
While talking exclusively to Geo News, Hashmi told that he has decided to join PTI as it is the party that could bring change. He rejected all such allegations that PTI has been formed by the establishment and that many parties were targeted earlier as well.
He said that he is hopeful that PTI will fulfill peoples’ wishes as the country is currently in a state of turmoil. He also added that he has no personal differences with Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
Earlier in the morning, PML-N workers blocked the road outside his residence in Multan to prevent him from leaving. After reaching the Multan airport, Hashmi announced about him joining the PTI.
