Xmas gifts distributed among deserving families

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for National Harmony Akram Masih Gill on Saturday distributed Christmas gifts of around Rs 3 million among the Christian community here.

Addressing on the occasion, Akram Gill said that the amount for the gifts was granted by Prime Minister Syed Yusuf RazaGilani.

The minister said that the government has taken several steps for the welfare of minorities in the country, including five percent job quota and more representations for minorities in the Upper House of the Parliament.

He said that Christmas is a festival of peace, love and tolerance. (APP)
