Two children die, three burnt due to gas leakage in Charsadda

PESHAWAR: Two children were killed and three others including two women sustained burn injuries as fire erupted due to gas leakage in village Sherpao Gorakhel, Charsadda on Tuesday.

According to details, the family of Nasir Khan slept with burning gas heaters that stopped working due to gas load shedding, later with the resumption of the supply room filled with the gas.

In the wee hours a lady lit a match stick to on heaters that ignited fire with a blast resulting in the death of two children, 6 years old Daniyal and six months old Iqra.

Three others including Nasir Khan and two females sustained burn injuries that were shifted to near-by hospital and their condition is stated to be stable.
