Undeterred citizens across all age groups, despite challenges to their mobility, seemed eager to cast a vote during elections in cantonment boards across Pakistan.

While a wheelchair-bound citizen and a visually impaired person visited a polling station to cast their votes, an 80-year-old woman showed just as much grit, even at the cost of having to ascend to the second floor at her age.

Meanwhile, candidates at some places made alluring food arrangements to attract the voters.

A candidate from Lahore got 600 kilogrammes of chicken korma prepared with 5,000 naans for voters to feast on. Another candidate served biryani to voters, while one in Gujranwala arranged a piping hot breakfast and an accompanying lassi drink.
