QUETTA: At least nine people were injured in a handgrenade attack in Quetta Sunday, Geo News reported.
According to police, the site of the attack was a shop on Joint Road.
It was the third consecutive attack in three days. Two days back on Friday a powerful carbomb blast, perpetrated by Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), rocked Quetta killing at least 13 people and a day earlier (Saturday) unknown militants fired three rockets, which, fortunately, fell short of their targets.
The troubled province of Balochistan is in the grips of a regional insurgency for self-determination. It is also a flashpoint for Taliban and sectarian violence.
