GUJRAT: seven people including a young passerby was killed in the firing of armed men over land dispute in district Khariyan in Gujrat, Geo News reported Monday.
Armed men opened indiscriminate firing on a double cabin vehicle at Galiyan chowk as a result seven people including 11-year-old passerby died on the spot.
The deceased are identified as bank officer Muhammad Sharif, guard Muhammad shahfiq, Mehboob, Usman, Irfan Mubeen and Younis.
The heirs of the deceased staged sit-in along with the dead bodies at the Chowk. Police reached on the spot and cordoned off the area.
According to police, the incident is result of land dispute and a brother of bank officer Muhammad Sharif had been killed six month ago.
