RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi police unearthed 97 gangs and recovered stolen goods, weapons, vehicles and ornaments amounting worth Rs 14,286,500 from their possession for the year 2011.
According to police spokesman, Rawalpindi police registered 426 cases against 402 criminals wanted in dacoity, murder and miscellaneous cases.
During the operation, police held Malang Khan gang, arrested three criminals and recovered amount worth Rs 3.5million and three motorcycles from their possession.
In another case, Police arrested Hafeez alias Hafeeza gang and recovered six stolen vehicles from their possession.
In third case, police held Waseem gang and recovered 10 vehicles and two motorcycles from their possession.
Police arrested Bishu gang and recovered amount worth Rs 3.2million, ornaments and a motorcycle from their possession.
Police also held Prado gang arrested 5 criminals and recovered amount of Rs 22,000.
Rawalpindi police also chased Asadullah gang, arrested four criminals and recovered Rs 1.2 million.
Police arrested Eido gang arrested 4 criminals and recovered six vehicles.
Police arrested Waseem Kiayani gang and recovered Rs 1.3 million.
In another attempt police also held Azam Khan gang along with fourcriminals activated in the city.
Police held Zariab gang arrested 3 criminals and recovered two motorcycles, three vehicles and a Land Cruiser (vehicle) from their possession.
Javed Khan, gang was arrested and police recovered 2124 gram ornamentamounting Rs 9 million from their possession. (APP)
