RAWALPINDI: Chief Traffic Officer Ghulam Abbas Tarar on Thursday said that every possible assistance was is being provided to the tourists coming to the Murree hill station.
In a statement the CTO said that additional wardens have been deputed to facilitate the tourists so that they could enjoy the snowfall and chilly weather.
The CTO said that pamphlets have also been distributed among the visitors to make them aware about the traffic laws and prevailing conditions in the area.
He said that strict action is being taken against the violators and no lenience would be shown in this regard.
He further said that City Traffic police is available to help the motorists through helpline 1915.
He also directed the wardens to behave with the citizen politely during duty hours.
He also directed that strict action will be taken against those indulging in over speeding or rash driving adding that their vehicles should be confiscated in case of violation. (APP)
