New spell of rain, snowfall forecasted
ISLAMABAD: A new spell of rain with snowfall over hills is expected on Saturday in Balochistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) and Northern areas.

According to Metrological Department, a fresh western disturbance is likely to affect Balochistan from Saturday and will extend to upper parts of Pakistan on Sunday and Monday.

In next 24 hours, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, however isolated rain and snowfall over the hills may occur in Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas.

It was said that by the end of this month there will be another spell of rain and snowfall in upper areas of the country.

Met office also reported that weather pattern is quiet different this year and foggy weather will continue in coming days in spite of continuous rains in different parts of the country.

Hundreds of vehicles got stuck at Murree Expressway due to snow and sliding while the mercury also dropped in Abbottabad and adjoining areas.

The Met office said light rainfall increased the current spell of cold in Lahore, Murree and Islamabad.
