Sports festival inaugurated in Rawalpindi
RAWALPINDI: In the light of the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, a sports festival has been started on Monday in district Rawalpindi and in this connection badminton competitions were held at Union Council level in Liaquat Bagh, Mini Sports Complex.

Member Provincial Assembly Muhammad Hanif, Advocate and Assistant Commissioner Rawalpindi Zahid Suhail inaugurated the sports festival at Union Council level which will continue till Feb 2.

District Sports Officer, Officers of local administration, Badminton players and a large number of fans of badminton were also present on this occasion.

MPA Raja Muhammad Hanif, Advocate while inaugurating the sports festival said that healthy society can be established by promoting sports.

He said that under a coordinated programme, Punjab government is following policy of constructing sports stadiums and complexes at district and tehsil level where land is available for such projects.

He said that Hassan Sardar Hockey Stadium which is being constructed at the play ground of Government Muslim High School No.1, is under completion. (APP)


All Pakistan Chambers Conference from Jan 30

RAWALPINDI: Rawalpind Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) will hold all Pakistan Chambers' President Conference on Jan 30-31 at PC Bhurban, Murree.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday Javed Akhtar Bhatti the (RCCI) president said the conference will discuss and formulate plans on issues being confronted by the business community of the country.

He said that RCCI always play a pivotal role in the national economic uplift and had already organized three All Pakistan Chambers conferences.

The fourth Conference will address the possible solutions to the energy crisis,affecting the economic activities.

The conference would be attended by as many as 40 presidents of the Chambers from all over the country.

On this occasion, senior vice president Raja Aamir Iqbal, vice president Chaudhary Iqbal Ahmed, former president Najmul Haq Malik, members executive council, representatives of other organizations of the traders and several RCCI members were present.

Javed Akhtar Bhatti said all political parties will have to com up with a comprehensive plan for the economic revival and to meet the energy shortage. (APP)
