“Grave robbers” strike in Multan

MULTAN: Adding to the count, sacrilege of graves continues throughout Pakistan as scores of dead were exhumed in a cemetery in Multan on Thursday, Geo News reported.

Qasim Bela area of the city was struck by both dread and sadness, when local residents found out that a number of graves had been dug open.

Word spread fast and baffled authorities arrived at the scene only to find out that the dead were disturbed from their eternal rest so that the grave robbers could remove bones, body parts, and palls in some cases.

The authorities have launched an investigation.

It is pertinent to mention here that Qasim Bela is situated next to Pakistan Army Cantonment in Multan.
