QUETTA: Deputy Commissioner Quetta Mohammad Hashim on Saturday chaired a high level meeting held at Commissioner Office to review the security arrangements for the processions and Mahafils of Eid Milad-un- Nabi.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Tariq Mengal, Assistant Commissioner City Rafiq Tarin, officials of law enforcement agencies, religious scholars and representatives of different civic departments attended the meeting. Deputy Commissioner, on the occasion directed the officials concerned to ensure foolproof security to the processions of Eid Miladun Nabi.
"Law enforcers must keep close eye on the suspicious movements of the anti-peace elements in and around the city," Hashim said adding no leniency on the part of law enforcement agency and any other department would be tolerated.
He noted that life of Hazrat Mohamamd (PBUH) is symbol of peace and following the foot prints of last prophet we could secure our worldly and life here after.
He appealed the religious scholars to preach people the lesson of brotherhood and play their role for an environment of harmony in the society.
Earlier, meeting was informed about the security measures and arrangement being put on place in the city area ahead of Eid Miladun Nabi. (APP)
