LAHORE: The Young Doctors Association (YDA) has taken back the strike call announced against making scapegoats by transfer and suspension of senior doctors just to hide government's inefficiency in drugs’ reaction case.
Initially, the YDA chapter of Punjab Institute of cardiology (PIC) has come out to protect senior doctors, who have been suspended by the Punjab government after deaths from reaction of drugs as its president Dr Amir Bandesha given a call of strike, which was also supported by YDA's Punjab chapter (Hamid Butt group).
The association said that purchase and supply of medicine was the responsibility of Punjab government and suspended doctors were not guilty pending inquiry in this regard. The YDA demanded Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif to resign by taking responsibility of the tragedy.
