Security beefed up in Quetta

QUETTA: Security has been beefed up in the provincial capital on Friday to guard the worship places where faithful will converge to offer the Jumatul Mubarik prayers, police sources said.

Sources said that additional contingents of police and other law enforcement agencies have been deployed on main junctions of the city whereas extra checkposts have also been established in some areas to keep vigil on the anti-peace elements.

The police, FC deployed at different pickets strictly checking the people and vehicles. The mobile of law enforcement agencies are seen patrolling in sensitive areas of the city to avoid untoward incident.

Personnel of LEAs deployed on entry and exit points have been directed to strictly check the vehicles and pedestrians entering or leaving the city.
