MULTAN: Provincial Minister for Zakat & Ushr Ahsan-uddin Qureshi Friday vowed to complete 20-year old master plan for the city on priority basis besides making all-out efforts to initiate new development projects in rural areas.
The minister who has additional charge of ministry of Housing and Urban Development said he would bring exclusive funds from Punjab government for the uplift of the city.
Talking to APP, he said efforts were being made for providing sports and recreational facilities in the city, adding Multan Development Authority had designated land at Old Shujabad road and a Shah Rukn Alam block for building a hockey stadium.
He said he would try to arrange additional funds for WASA to help it resolve water and sewerage problems of the city.
He said effective steps would be taken to retrieve government land from land grabbers.
