MULTAN: Health department continues its campaign against contaminated drugs here in the city in the aftermath of deaths of cardiac patients from drug reactions.

Drug inspectors checked out different medical stores, particularly the main medicines markets at Nishtar road and wholesale market at Ghanta Ghar.

Health department sources said that infamous Isotab tablets meant for heart patients were removed from two medical stores, including Islam Medical Store and Kamboh Medical Hall.

The investigating executive authority, Drug Inspector Rao Alamgir Khan told APP that the medicines provided free of cost at Punjab Institute of Cardiology were also available in Multan.

He assured that the contaminated drug was not given to any patient. (APP)
