RAWALPINDI: 30 stray dogs have been killed in Rawal Town by Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA).
The drive to kill stray dogs was recently launched on the special directives of Administrator Rawal Town, Saif Anwar Jappa. Special teams of TMA are hunting for the stray dogs in all the union councils of the city. The operation so far has been completed in Union Council 43, 44 and 45. The bodies of the stray dogs have also been removed from city areas.
It is pertinent to mention here that a number of dog-bite cases were being reported in the different city hospitals and the citizens have appreciated this move by the TMA which would continue in all the union councils for almost two months.
Administrator Rawal Town has expressed satisfaction over the performance of the teams constituted in this connection. He urged the citizens to cooperate with TMA staff so that the campaign could be made a success. (APP)
