Hyderabad to get varsity, medical college
Karachi: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan has principally approved a university and a medical college for Hyderabad city, and asked secretaries of education, health and law to complete formalities in this regard at the earliest.

Chairing a meeting at the Governor House, it was decided that Hyderabad, the second biggest city of Sindh province, would get a general university, named Muhammad Ali Jinnah University Hyderabad, and a medical college.

Governor ordered earmarking 500acres of land for the proposed varsity.

Initially this university would start working in the premises of Comprehensive School Latifabad-10, while the proposed medical college would be set up in Kohsar area.

Work on these projects would be initiated under the annual development scheme this year.

Governor also instructed the Hyderabad Development Authority (HAD) to launch work on the proposed project of Education City in Hyderabad. (PPI)
