Rs500,000 for ailing boxer Jan Muhammad

KARACHI: Sindh Sports Minister Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah has announced a grant in aid of Rs0.5 million for ailing former international boxer Jan Muhammad Baloch, who is suffering from cancer.

"These former sportsmen are asset of the country and deserved proper attention from concerned authority when needed," Dr. Shah said in statement issued here on Friday.

"I have issued necessary orders to concerned officials to release a grant of Rs 500,000 for Jan Baloch," he said.

Last year Jan Muhammad was presented a Legend Award for his services in fist-fighting as boxer and coach. (APP)
