Power crisis unlikely to end by 2018, says Khursheed Shah

SUKKUR: Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly, Syed Khursheed Shah on Monday said that it seems the government might not be able fulfill its claim to end the power crisis by 2018.

Talking to media at his residence in Sukkur, Khursheed Shah asked where are those who protested against load-shedding at Minar-e-Pakistan and created a drama by holding hand fans in front of the media.

The opposition leader was referring to Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif who shifted his office to Minar-e-Pakistan ground in June 2012 in protest against power crisis during the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) tenure.

Shah went on to say that corruption started in the country during dictators’ rule. The current government itself put a general behind bars on the charges of treason and now they are making hue and cry against Asif Ali Zardari’s statement, he added.

He said the co-chairman only gave remarks against people having mindset of dictators.

He further said that regarding formation of coalition with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) is not being reviewed at the moment.
