MULTAN: Renowned folk singer Naseem Akhtar died here on Sunday. She was 55.
She sung a number of Seraiki, Punjabi and Urdu songs which were popular in the country. She also earned her name in anthems,Kafis and Ghazals.
DG Radio Pakistan Murtaza Solangi paid rich tribute to legend singer and termed her death a great loss.
Similarly, Syed Ahmed Mujtuba Gilani, MPA Syed Abdul Qadir Gilani and PM's media-coordinator Khawaja Rizwan Aalam expressed sorrow over the death of the singer.
Radio Pakistan Multan station director Khursheed Malik termed the death of Naseem Akhtar a national loss. He added the services rendered by Naseem Akhtar would be remembered for a longtime. (APP)
