KHANEWAL: Asifa Bhutto-Zardari thanked the people for their prayers and love after she got hit by a drone camera during PPP's "awami March" in Khanewal. 

Asifa on Saturday took to Twitter and wrote: "Would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and prayers. Deeply indebted to the paramedics at 1122 station Khaniwal, Ms Zunaira and Mr Baber for their stellar and immediate first aid."

Sharing a picture of her injuries on the micro-blogging website, she also thanked the local police for rushing her to the hospital. 

Moreover, she commended the doctors and surgeons for "stitching her up".

The tweet received received more than 9,000 likes after it was posted and people showered her with prayers. 

Drone camera hits Asifa Bhutto-Zardari on face

Yesterday, a drone camera hit Asifa in the face while she was standing on the container during PPP's jalsa in Khanewal.

Following the incident, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari took his sister, Asifa, inside the container.

According to initial reports, Bilawal’s security team caught the drone operator.

Police take private channel's staff into custody

A police investigation found that the drone camera was being operated from a private channel’s DSNG van.

Police said that except for two people, the rest of the staff of the TV channel has been taken into custody.

Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari's security team had taken the drone operator and the engineer with them.
