Trophy receives great welcome from Shaheen Shah Afridi's family and locals of his hometown

The Lahore Qalandars visited the home town of their skipper Shaheen Shah Afridi with the Pakistan Super League (PSL) trophy on Saturday in Landi Kotal. 

The trophy received a great welcome from Shaheen's family and the locals from his hometown.

Sameen Rana and Atif Rana — owners of Qalandars — gave the trophy to the Shaheen's family alongside his brother Riaz Afridi and father.

Soon after the trophy arrived his hometown, Shaheen tweeted that it was the "best feeling ever" to see the trophy in the hands who have raised him. 

"To see trophy in those hands who have raised me is the best feeling ever. I am so proud of you Abu Ji," tweeted Shaheen.

The Qalandars skipper Thanked his franchise for "such a beautiful gesture", adding that his "entire village was extremely happy".

In the PSL final, Qalandars beat Multan Sultans by 42 runs to secure their first trophy. 

The team won their first-ever PSL title at their home ground Gaddafi Stadium seven years after the start of the tournament.
