Customs houses, LTUs, RTOs to remain open on Saturday

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Friday directed all the Model Customs Collectorates to remain open on Saturday the 25 February, as normal working days in order to facilitate the trade and industry in getting their cargo cleared for imports and exports.

It also directed all the Large Taxpayer Units (LTUs), Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) and Model Customs Collectorates (MCCs) to remain
open on Saturday the 25 February, 2012, as normal working day.

These offices were directed remain open late till 10.00 P.M on Wednesday the 29 February (the last day of the month) to facilitate the taxpayers in submission of their returns and taxes.

The State Bank of Pakistan and National Bank of Pakistan will provide banking facility at their designated branches on Saturday the 25 February and keep the designated branches open till 10.00 PM on Wednesday the 29 February, 2012 to accept payment of duty and
taxes.

The Port Authorities and Port Operators will also synchronize their working, accordingly, according to FBR notification. (APP)
