Kangana Ranaut ecstatic as film 'Queen' marks 8 years: Photo

Eight years ago, today, this female-centric movie was released in theatres worldwide. Taking to the Instagram story, Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut shares a throwback picture of her with some of the prominent Indian cricket team players including Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni.

In the photo reel, #Queen of Bollywood can be seen grooving and doing thumkas (hip thrusts) on her movies’ hit number London thumkda. Ranaut is seen wearing the same outfit that she has worn in her movie. 

This photo was clicked for Indian Premier League Season 9 in 2016 and this whole sequence was directed by well-known filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani.

The reel features a candid caption that reads, “On this day, (7th March) in 2014 a film came called #Queen... and it changed m life forever..."

"I did many iconic roles after that… but little did I know, no matter what I do, I will forever be remembered as #Queen...” she concluded by adding.

Ranaut has been one of the third female actors of Bollywood who has bagged consecutively two National Awards for Best Actress after the legendary actors Shabana Azmi and Archana.

Not only is Ranaut is famous for her character roles, but she is also under fire for her controversial statements made on social media.

 What’s more, is that she is also a staunch supporter of women's empowerment and this is why she bags roles that are predominantly based on women's resilience and strength.

Currently, Ranaut is seen working on an action spy movie Dhakaad that also stars Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta and is directed by Razneesh Razy Ghai. The movie will be released very soon in four multiple languages.
