RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi police on Saturday claimed to arrest 35 outlaws and four suspected robbers from various areas of the city and recovered 56 liquor bottles, 1970 grams charras, four pistols 30 bore with 13 rounds, one 22 bore pistol with four rounds, one rifle 12 bore with 12 rounds and Cash Rs 50,000 from their possession.
According to a police spokesman, police arrested 35 criminals, six gamblers and 10 accused from a brothel house with four suspected robbers.
Race Course Police on a tip-off raided at the gambling den of Nouman Nazir and arrested six gamblers identified as Nouman Nazir, Atta Muhammad, Muhammad Fahim, Abdul Shakeel, Jamal-ud-din and Farahat Iqbal red-handed and recovered cash of Rs 50,000 and six mobile phones.
Meanwhile, Saddar Wah Cantt police raided a brothel house in Nawab Abad and arrested 10 accused identified as Kamran Khan, Muhammad Ijaz, Abdul Shakoor, Muhammad Taj, Munawar Iqbal, Naseem Akhtar Bibi, Hamida Bibi, Robina Bibi, Sadia Bibi and Naseem Akhtar wife of Abdul Shakoor.
In another raid Peerwadhai police arrested four suspected robbers who were allegedly present for a dacoity in Muhammadi Chowk. Police a tip-off raided and arrested accused namely Shahid Mahmood, Fazal-ur-Rehman, Amjad Ali and Arshad Ali.
Two pistols 30 bore with eight rounds and one dagger was recovered from their custody.
Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway. (APP)
