  •  Sony has stopped all sales in Russia.
  • They tweeted that they stand with the global community.
  • There is no confirmation whether existing Russian account-holders of PlayStation will lose their access.

Like many other gaming companies, Sony has backed off from Russia and has suspended its sales there.

As reported by Insider, Tech giant Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) says it is “calling for peace in Ukraine” and suspended sales in Russia

Russians will now not be unable to buy new PlayStation consoles or games. Sony decided to join hands with the global community to stand with the war-stricken Ukraine.

According to Play Station on Twitter, all software and hardware shipments have been blocked, while the launch of Gran Tursimo 7 has also been suspended.

This step has already been taken by other big companies. Microsoft, for example, withdrew from Russia a week ago, terminating all sales and services.

There is no surety whether Russians will lose access to their PlayStation game accounts or not.
