Drone incident: PPP asks for transparent investigation from DG ISI

Secretary-General Nayyar Bukhari writes the letter to DG ISI on PPP’s behalf

The PPP has written a letter to the Director-General (DG) of Inter-Services Intelligence Lieutenant General Nadeem Ahmed Anjum to seek an inquiry into the incident when Asifa Bhutto-Zardari was hit by a drone camera during a jalsa.

According to a statement by PPP, the party's secretary-general Nayyar Bukhari has written the letter to DG ISI on PPP’s behalf.

Expressing concern over the incident, the letter requested the ISI to launch a transparent investigation into the matter.

Drone camera hits Asifa Bhutto-Zardari on face

Earlier this month, a drone camera had hit Asifa in the face while she was standing on the container during PPP's jalsa in Khanewal.

The police investigation had found that the drone camera was being operated from a private channel’s DSNG van and the police 

"Except for two people, the rest of the staff of the TV channel has been taken into custody," according to the police. 

Meanwhile, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari's security team had taken the drone operator and the engineer with them, police said.
