TikTok is providing more users with its Snapchat-style stories feature after experimenting with it in some regions last summer, Tech Crunch reported.

People who have received the update will be welcomed by a banner encouraging them to post a story.

Like the usual story style goes on Instagram and Snapchat, TikTok Stories can also be viewed by clicking the profile picture before they vanish after 24 hours of being posted.

However, unlike Instagram, users can only see the number of people that viewed their story and not who viewed it. Public comments can also be made instead of a direct reply as a private message.

The “post” button on the bottom centre navigation bar of the app allows users to post a story.

All users do not have access to the feature yet.

“Currently, we’re expanding a pilot test, which provides creators with additional formats to bring their creative ideas to life for the TikTok community,” a TikTok spokesperson told TechCrunch.
