Kate Middleton saved by Prince William during embarrasing St Patricks Day parade

Kate Middleton was saved by Prince William from an embarrassing slip-up during St Patrick's Day.

In 2013, when the Duchess of Cambridge was pregnant with first child, Prince George, tumbled to the ground during the annual parade.

It happened when her shoe's heel got stuck in a drain cover as she walked alongside husband. For the event, Kate is responsible for handing out traditional shamrocks.

While Kate tried to get rid of the situation herself, it was Prince William who saved the day with his proactive gesture. The Duke of Cambridge held his wife strong and helped her get back up without losing her shoe.

This year's St Patrick's Day will be the first one in two years. The 2020 parade was cancelled due to pandemic. In 2021, majority of the regiment was overseas on deployment.
