Prime Minister Imran Khan took to Twitter on Sunday to welcome the foreign ministers of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for the 48th conference taking place in Islamabad on March 22 and 23.
"I warmly welcome Foreign Ministers & delegations from OIC mbr states, observers, partners & intl organisations to 48th OICCFM in Islamabad," he wrote.
He also extended the welcome on behalf of all Pakistanis.
The PM announced that the discussions at the conference will revolve around "unity, justice and development."
Earlier, Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Shah Mahmood Qureshi announced the dates of the conference and added that Pakistan is gearing up to host it on the given dates.
He presented an actionable way forward for the OIC group in curbing corruption and realising the human rights agenda through the creation of an inter-governmental committee, establishment of an OIC protocol, and mechanism for mutual legal assistance, reviewing unequal investment treaties, and formation of a global beneficial ownership registry.
The minister also said the government is planning to take the foreign ministers to Nathiagali to show them the beauty of Pakistan.
