US to help Pakistan in energy projects: CG

MULTAN: Offering America’s help in energy projects, Consul General in Lahore, Nina Maria Fite, Thursday said that Pakistan should exploit its natural resources to meet its energy challenges, Geo News reported.

Talking to businessmen at Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), she said US was already spending $15 million on various energy projects in Pakistan and it would continue to do so in the future as well.

She said US wanted to get over all the misunderstandings with Pakistan, adding it were looking forward to the Pakistani parliament’s debate to decide on ties with Washington.

To a question, she said, though, for Pakistani traders US/EU markets were important, but they must also give the neighbouring markets like China as well as India a serious try.
